Profs. Veto and Littau win College of Arts and Sciences Teaching and Advising Awards

Congratulations to professors Matt Veto and Jeremy Littau on receiving awards from the College of Arts and Science recognizing their teaching and advising. Both faculty members were celebrated at the annual CAS Faculty Dinner, held in the Wood Dining Room at Iacocca Hall on March 28, 2024. 

Prof. Veto received the CAS Dean's Award for Teaching, recognizing his commitment to the Brown and White. During his time as advisor, the Brown and White has received numerous awards and increased its presence as both a digital and print publication on campus and in Bethlehem's Southside community. Nominator's noted Prof. Veto's close attention to student mentorship and improvement, highlighting the rigor and excellence he elicits while also focusing on building a community in his classes based around care and careful feedback. 

Prof. Littau received the inaugural CAS Dean's Award for First-Year Advising. Often called a "north star" for his focus on advising and helping students navigate their Lehigh experience, this award recognizes contributions to advising Dr. Liattau has made throughout his career, from developing organization and communication tools to help advisors and students better navigate the CAS curriculum, to his time spent as CAS' director of academic planning and as director of student success, to the time and attention he puts into each student that crosses his door.
